The SPIN consortium was set up in 1996 to create a network of some of the entrepreneurial initiatives that had been started, as spin-offs, by researchers and experts who had gained significant experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) within the Calabrian Research Centres (CRAI, CNR, etc.).

  • encourage cooperation between the research community (...) and the world of possible uses of the research results (...)
  • select, analyse and elaborate technical and scientific results (...) concerning applications and industrial uses
  • act as a reference centre that collects and disseminates information and technical proposals in the interest of the shareholders and of the potential users of the advanced ICT products and services
